We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations and help us deliver exceptional care to our community. Working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you’ll play a key role in preparing prescriptions, assisting patients, and maintaining a safe and efficient pharmacy.
Medication Processing & Preparation
Assist the pharmacist in preparing and filling prescriptions according to physician orders.
Enter, verify, and process prescriptions accurately with patient safety as the top priority.
Prepare non-sterile compounded medications under direct pharmacist supervision.
Patient Support
Assist with gathering patient information and help address basic prescription-related questions.
Provide courteous, compassionate service to every patient.
Compliance & Safety
Follow all pharmacy laws, HIPAA guidelines, and safety protocols.
Handle medications responsibly and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Inventory & Operations
Help manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and assisting with drug ordering and returns.
Track expiration dates and ensure proper storage of medications.
Operate Micro Merchant Systems (or similar pharmacy software) for prescription processing and patient profiles.
Insurance & Billing
Process insurance claims, resolve third-party rejections, and assist with copay or billing questions.
Workplace Standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace.
Collaborate with the pharmacist and support technician trainees as needed.
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and customer-service skills
Preferred
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
Previous retail or compounding pharmacy experience
