Frequently Asked Questions

Retail

Everything you need at the counter and beyond

Fast prescriptions, trusted OTCs, immunizations, special packaging and veterinary meds — designed around your convenience.

What should I bring when I pick up a prescription?

Bring a valid photo ID, your prescription (paper or e-script) and your insurance card if you’re using insurance. If you granted a caregiver permission, bring documentation or a note authorizing pickup.

Do you accept my insurance and how do I check coverage?

We accept most major plans and can run a benefits check at the counter or by phone. If a medication isn’t covered, our pharmacists can suggest lower-cost alternatives or manufacturer savings programs.

Can you provide special packaging or multi-dose blister packs for assisted living?

Yes — we offer special packaging and multi-dose blister packs to simplify dosing for assisted-living and long-term care residents. Ask our team about schedules, labeling, and delivery options.

Do you administer immunizations and who is eligible?

We provide routine immunizations (flu, Tdap, COVID-19 boosters where appropriate, etc.) for eligible patients according to state guidelines. Call or visit to confirm availability and age requirements.

Do you stock medications for pets and how do I get them filled?

We carry veterinary medications and can fill prescriptions from your veterinarian. Bring the vet’s prescription and we’ll advise on dosing, administration, and safe storage.

Compounding

Medications tailored to you specific needs

Personalized formulations for dermatology, hormones, weight loss, wound care, veterinary needs and more.

What is compounding and when is it needed?

Compounding creates customized medications (different dose, form, flavor, or combination) when commercially available options don’t meet a patient’s needs — for allergies, pediatric/geriatric dosing, topical formulations, or veterinary use.

Do I need a special prescription for a compounded medicine?

Yes — compounding is performed only after a licensed prescriber writes a specific prescription for your custom formulation. We’ll communicate with your provider if adjustments are needed.

How long does it take to prepare a compounded prescription?

Turnaround varies by complexity and ingredients. Simple compounds may be ready in 24–48 hours; more complex sterile or multi-ingredient preparations may take longer. We’ll give an estimated ready time at intake.

Are compounded medications safe and how are they regulated?

Compounding is performed by licensed pharmacists following state and professional standards. While compounded products don’t go through FDA pre-market approval like manufactured drugs, we adhere to strict quality and sterility practices. Ask us about our quality checks and sourcing.

Can you compound for pets as well as humans?

Yes — we offer veterinary compounding (flavored suspensions, transdermal gels, chewables) made to your veterinarian’s prescription, helping make administration easier for your pet.

Payments & Refunds

Clear, Convenient & Transparent Transactions

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, major credit/debit cards, and most electronic payments. For purchases tied to insurance, we process claims directly at pickup when possible.

Can I pay online or set up auto-refill payments?

Yes — we offer online payment options and auto-refill enrollment for eligible prescriptions. Contact our fulfillment team to enable automatic refills and payment setups.

What is your refund or return policy for medications?

For safety reasons, most prescription medications cannot be returned. If there’s a dispensing error, damaged product, or billing issue, we will resolve it promptly and issue refunds or replacements as appropriate.

How are compounded medication charges determined?

Compounding costs reflect ingredients, pharmacist time, and preparation complexity. We provide a transparent price estimate before preparing your medication so you can approve the cost.

Who do I contact about billing disputes or insurance denials?

Contact our billing team via phone or email ([email protected] ). We’ll review charges, communicate with your insurer when needed, and help pursue appeals or alternative coverage options.

Telemedicine

Care that reaches you, anywhere - anytime

What can I use telemedicine for at Angel Pharmacy?

Telemedicine is available for consultations related to medication management, minor acute issues, hormonal or chronic condition follow-ups, and to determine if a prescription or compounding is appropriate.

How do I book and join a telemedicine appointment?

Book online or by phone. We’ll email or text a secure link with appointment details. Join from a smartphone or computer with camera/audio at the scheduled time.

Will telemedicine visits be covered by my insurance?

Coverage varies by plan. Many insurers cover telemedicine visits; we recommend checking your policy. We can provide superbills or documentation for reimbursement requests.

Can a telemedicine visit result in a prescription or compounded medication?

Yes — if clinically appropriate, providers can issue electronic prescriptions or write compounding prescriptions that our pharmacy can prepare. Controlled substance rules still apply and may limit remote prescribing.

Is telemedicine private and secure?

Absolutely — we use HIPAA-compliant platforms for telemedicine to protect your privacy. If you have specific concerns, our team will explain security and consent processes before your visit.

Self Evaluation

Start your care with a quick online self check exam

Simple, guided self-assessments to help you and our team choose the right next step.

What is the purpose of a self-evaluation?

Self-evaluation tools help identify symptoms, prioritize concerns, and guide whether you need a telemedicine visit, in-person consult, or immediate care — saving you time and ensuring appropriate care.

Is the self-evaluation a medical diagnosis?

No — it’s an informational tool that helps you and our staff understand symptoms and recommend next steps. It does not replace a healthcare provider’s diagnosis.

How long does the self-evaluation take and where can I access it?

Most evaluations take 2–5 minutes. You can access them on our website or in-store; staff can also walk you through the questionnaire if needed.

What happens after I complete a self-evaluation?

Based on your responses, you’ll receive tailored guidance — e.g., schedule a telemedicine appointment, come in for a consult, or simple home care suggestions. Our team may follow up if you opt in.

Is my information from the self-evaluation kept private?

Yes — we treat all health information as confidential and handle it under HIPAA and state privacy policies. We’ll only use your data to support care unless you authorize otherwise.
