Pharmacist
Location: Hudson, Florida

About the Role:
Angel Pharmacy & Compounding is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) to oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure patient safety, and deliver compassionate, community-focused care. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who values accuracy, leadership, and excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities
Dispensing & Compounding
- Accurately compound and dispense prescription medications in accordance with prescriber orders.
- Prepare customized non-sterile compounded medications (including creams and ointments) per physician instructions.
Clinical & Safety Oversight
- Conduct prospective Drug Utilization Reviews (DURs) for all new and refill prescriptions, monitoring for allergies, interactions, duplications, and adherence risks.
- Counsel patients clearly on medication use, precautions, side effects, storage, and lifestyle considerations.
- Provide guidance on both prescription and OTC therapies when appropriate.
Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain strict control and documentation of controlled substances, ensuring full compliance with federal and Florida state regulations.
- Ensure the pharmacy operates in alignment with all applicable pharmacy laws and standards.
Operations & Inventory
- Oversee purchasing, storage, and inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
- Monitor expiration dates, stock rotation, and secure storage processes.
- Utilize Micro Merchant Systems pharmacy software (or similar platform) for workflow and record-keeping.
Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and trainees, ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and adherence to protocols.
- Promote a culture of safety, service excellence, and teamwork.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Pharmacy
or - Pharmaceutical Sciences
or - Pharmaceutics
or - Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
- Active and unrestricted Florida Pharmacist License (PIC eligibility preferred or willingness to assume PIC responsibilities)
- Previous community pharmacy or compounding experience is highly valued
- Strong communication, patient-care, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety

Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations and help us deliver exceptional care to our community. Working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you’ll play a key role in preparing prescriptions, assisting patients, and maintaining a safe and efficient pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
Medication Processing & Preparation
Assist the pharmacist in preparing and filling prescriptions according to physician orders.
Enter, verify, and process prescriptions accurately with patient safety as the top priority.
Prepare non-sterile compounded medications under direct pharmacist supervision.
Patient Support
Assist with gathering patient information and help address basic prescription-related questions.
Provide courteous, compassionate service to every patient.
Compliance & Safety
Follow all pharmacy laws, HIPAA guidelines, and safety protocols.
Handle medications responsibly and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Inventory & Operations
Help manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and assisting with drug ordering and returns.
Track expiration dates and ensure proper storage of medications.
Operate Micro Merchant Systems (or similar pharmacy software) for prescription processing and patient profiles.
Insurance & Billing
Process insurance claims, resolve third-party rejections, and assist with copay or billing questions.
Workplace Standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace.
Collaborate with the pharmacist and support technician trainees as needed.
Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and customer-service skills
Preferred
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
Previous retail or compounding pharmacy experience
